Terms of sale

Last updated 26 October 2026

These terms apply when you buy a plan pack or an annual review from us. Please read them before you buy. If anything is unclear, email hello@protectmyvenue.co.uk.

1. About us

We are Protect My Venue Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17542412. Our registered office is 3 St. James Mews, Exeter Street, Teignmouth, England, TQ14 8JB. In these terms "we" and "us" means Protect My Venue Ltd, and "you" means the person or organisation buying from us.

2. What you are buying

The sample pack on our website shows the kind of documents you will receive. Your documents are written around your answers, so their content will differ.

3. Guidance, not legal advice

Our documents are practical guidance based on the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 and the Home Office statutory guidance as at the date we write them. They are not legal advice, and we are not affiliated with the Home Office or the Security Industry Authority (SIA).

The responsible person for your venue remains responsible for meeting the law. That includes checking the documents are right for your building, adopting them, briefing your people, keeping them up to date and notifying the SIA. If your situation is unusual or you are unsure whether the law applies, you should take advice from the SIA or a solicitor.

4. Your answers

Your documents are only as accurate as the answers you give us. Please make sure your answers are complete and correct, and tell us if anything changes before we send your pack. We are not responsible for errors caused by information you gave us that was wrong or incomplete.

5. Price and payment

Prices are shown on our website at the time you order. We are not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. You pay in full when you order, by card through our payment provider, Stripe. For the annual review, your card is charged again each year on the anniversary of your order until you cancel.

6. Delivery

We aim to email your pack within 5 working days of receiving your completed questionnaire. If we need to check anything with you, we will email you and the 5 days will start again once you reply. If we can't deliver within 30 days of your completed questionnaire, you can cancel for a full refund.

7. Getting it right

If you spot a mistake in your documents, or something that doesn't match your building, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we will correct it free of charge.

8. Refunds and cancellation

If you are buying as an individual consumer rather than for an organisation, you also have legal rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Because your pack is digital content written for you, by asking us to start work you agree that your 14-day cancellation right ends once we deliver it. This doesn't affect our promise above to put things right or refund you if you're unhappy.

9. Using the documents

The documents are yours to use for your venue. You may copy, print, adapt and share them with anyone involved in running or using your venue, such as committee members, staff, volunteers and hirers. You may not resell them or use them as the basis for a service you sell to others.

10. Our responsibility to you

We will use reasonable care and skill in preparing your documents. If we fail to, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when you ordered, or for indirect losses such as loss of income.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

11. Your information

We use the information you give us to prepare your documents, deliver them and provide the annual review. Our privacy notice explains how we handle it.

12. Changes and law

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force when you order apply to that order. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

13. Contact and complaints

Email hello@protectmyvenue.co.uk. We aim to reply within 2 working days.
