Who we are

Protect My Venue Ltd ("we", "us") is the controller of the personal information described here. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17542412, and our registered office is 3 St. James Mews, Exeter Street, Teignmouth, England, TQ14 8JB.

What we collect

When you join our waitlist we collect:

• your name and email address
• the type of venue you run and its approximate capacity
• which price option you told us you would choose
• the link you came from, if it was tagged (for example, from a newsletter)

When you ask for our sample plan pack we collect your name, email address, the type of venue you run (if you tell us), whether you also asked to join the waitlist, and the link you came from, if it was tagged.

Why we use it

• To tell you when Protect My Venue opens and offer you the founding price. We rely on your consent, which you give by joining the waitlist.
• To follow up on a sample pack request: we may email you once or twice to ask whether the sample was useful and tell you when Protect My Venue opens. We rely on our legitimate interest in following up a request you made, and every email lets you opt out. We only add you to the waitlist if you tick the box to ask us to.
• To understand demand: which kinds of venues are interested and which prices suit them. We look at this in totals, not at individuals. We rely on our legitimate interest in deciding how to build and price our service.

We do not sell your information or share it with other organisations for their marketing.

Where it is stored

Your details are stored in a database run for us by Supabase, located in London. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles technical information such as your IP address so it can deliver the site securely. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist details until you ask us to remove them, or until 12 months after we launch, whichever comes first. We keep sample pack requests for 12 months. If we decide not to launch, we will delete both.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us, and we will remove you from the waitlist. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
